The University of New Mexico Hospital (UNMH), Patient + Family Advisory Committee (PFAC) is going to host an in person and virtual screening of the PSMF World Patient Safety Day Live Event (#uniteforsafecare). To raise awareness surrounding medical errors and patient safety, we will be announcing the partnership between UNMH and the Smart Patients community, an online community for patients by patients. We have invited one of our Patient + Family Advisors (PFAs), who is a mother/baby educator to present on maternal and neonatal wellbeing. Lastly, we will be handing out PFAC lapel pins and a certificate of completion to all the PFA’s for successfully completing the PFAC vetting and onboarding process.
