You may have lost someone you loved or know someone who has suffered or died due to unsafe care – whether this was complicated by the COVID-19 pandemic or occurred before. Now, more than ever, stories can be shared to help people understand and put faces to these issues that are impacting our healthcare community today.

The Patient Safety Movement Foundation is currently seeking patient and healthcare worker stories so we can help bring awareness to the fact that 1 in 10 patients are harmed and health worker safety is patient safety. Your story will become an integral part of the narrative driving the Patient Safety Movement forward.

The Patient Safety Movement Foundation will spread your story to our network through social media, email campaigns, media relations and more to help it reach the right people, inspire others to share their story and further our mission to eliminate unsafe care through education and empowering patients and healthcare workers to advocate for safer care.

We realize that during this pandemic health workers have been at risk of retaliation by their employers for speaking about working conditions, patient conditions and more. We do review all submissions before we post them. If you have marked that you would like to be kept anonymous we will remove any mention of facility or peoples' names.
