Dr. Charlene Hope, UChicago Medicine’s Chief Pharmacy Quality and Medication Safety Officer, has focused her career on developing and implementing patient safety and quality improvement programs. She currently leads several UCM initiatives focused on implementing effective error-prevention strategies designed to decrease preventable harm due to medications.
Dr. Hope is a frequent lecturer at the state and national level on medication safety and pharmacy quality and has provided presentations to the community to help people become more informed on how to improve their health through safe use of medications. She has a Master’s degree in Healthcare Quality and Patient Safety from Northwestern University and is a Certified Professional in Patient Safety.
