Dr. Lam received her Bachelor degree in Art History/Biology from UCLA. She received her Pharm.D. degree from USC School of Pharmacy. Upon completion of her PGY1 residency at the San Francisco Veterans Affairs Medical Center, Dr. Lam pursued a two-year research fellowship at USC School of Pharmacy in HIV translational research. Her professional career paths included a faculty position at Loma Linda University School of Pharmacy, a management position with Kaiser Permanente, and a faculty position with Chapman University School of Pharmacy. She is credentialed by the American Academy of HIV Medicine.

Even though her current practice site is focused in the ambulatory care setting, Dr. Lam has experiences in critical care and infectious diseases from her residency and clinical duties at Kaiser West Los Angeles. She had established her ambulatory care sites at the Desert AIDS Project Clinic, Riverside Neighborhood Health Center and Perris Family Care Center clinics, and is presently with the Hoag Primary Care physicians’ group. Dr. Lam has also received several awards including Preceptor of the Year in Ambulatory Care, the AACP/Walmart Scholars Award, and Fellow of CSHP. She has also been the past recipient of the Pfizer/CSHP grant and, more recently, Chapman University grants in research and education. Dr. Lam has published many articles and has been invited to speak on the topics of HIV, hepatitis C and other ambulatory care topics by nursing and pharmacy associations. Her areas of research interests focus on translational research in viral infections, and public health issues relating to HIV stigma, medication adherence and increased access to healthcare.
