Dr. Mauricio Gonzalez is a board-certified internist and emergency medicine senior resident in New York City. His main focus has been public health. His message is to inform the science behind a healthy lifestyle that includes predominantly a plant-based rich diet and exercise. He created the first medical seminar in Latin America (veggie power summit) that educates physicians, nurses and the general public about diet and exercise as efficient measures to counteract the surge of non-communicable diseases. Thousands of people from all over the world attend this event every year. During his residency, he was an active member of the ethics committee in his hospital.
He has presented his work in Germany and has been invited to speak on different platforms, such as the senate of Buenos Aires and the internal medicine program of Weill Cornell. In 2017 he joined the campaign of an independent candidate for the Mexican presidency as health care policy advisor.
He is passionate about sharing scientific facts about prevention through his social media accounts, which has captivated the attention of thousands of young people throughout the world. He is a frequent guest in Univision, Telemundo, CNN, among others. His current efforts include sharing medically accurate facts about COVID19.
