Aleksandra Lefterova is a registered nurse in the anesthesia department of General City Hospital in Skopje, Macedonia and one of the Patient Safety Movement Foundation’s 2023 Fellows.
With a range of experiences in both the operating theatre and healthcare management, including an MBA from the University of Sheffield, Lefterova helps healthcare organizations implement higher quality and more effective healthcare services to ensure patient-centered care. Since 2014, she has served as an external evaluator at the Macedonian Agency for Quality and Accreditation in Health Care.
Lefterova is a strong believer that education in healthcare quality and safety is one of the most effective ways to inspire change and improvement in the field, and alongside her work she has conducted seminars for nurses as well as a series of lectures at the European Eye Hospital and General City Hospital in Skopje on the prevention of hospital-acquired infections.
