Ms. Gocke has overall responsibility for the Employee and Patient Safety divisions of the Risk Management and Safety department at BETA Healthcare Group. In her role she oversees all aspects of risk management and safety including BETA’s communication and resolution program entitled BETA HEART. Before joining BETA Healthcare Group in 2009, she was a liability claims specialist for the SCPIE company and legal nurse consultant. She later accepted a position at the corporate headquarters of a 42-hospital system where she was involved in a variety of system-wide risk management and safety improvement efforts with a primary focus on enterprise-wide risk. Ms. Gocke is a certified professional in healthcare risk management, is a registered nurse and holds a certificate as a paralegal.  She completed a Patient Safety Leadership fellowship in 2009 through the American Hospital Association, is past president of the Southern California Association for Healthcare Risk Management and served nine years on the Board of Directors of the National Certification Corporation, a nurse certification agency. Ms. Gocke earned her Bachelor of Science degree in Healthcare Management and her Master of Science degree in Safety Leadership at the University of Illinois at Chicago, College of Medicine
