Reza Taheri is Professor and Associate Dean of Professional Affairs and Student Success at Chapman University School of Pharmacy. Prior to joining Chapman, he served as the Chief Strategy Officer at RxPrep Inc. Dr. Taheri’s academic career path started as a faculty at the Western University of Health Sciences, followed by faculty, Director of Experiential Education, and Chair of the Department of Pharmacotherapy and Outcomes Science at Loma Linda University School of Pharmacy. He then served as the founding Associate Dean of Academic Affairs and later Dean of the School of Pharmacy at West Coast University.
Dr. Taheri completed his undergraduate education as well as the Doctor of Pharmacy program at the University of Minnesota and a fellowship in cardiovascular pharmacotherapy at the same institution. He earned an Executive Master of Business Administration at the University of Southern California’s Marshall School of Business. Reza is also a certified Emotional Intelligence Coach and a certified trainer on a suite of programs through Crucial Learning.
Dr. Taheri’s teaching contributions center around the development of skills and attributes necessary for effective communication and teamwork as well as leadership skills. Taheri’s scholarly work concentrates on affective domain knowledge and skill development. Particular areas of focus include effective communication and teamwork skills as well as leadership development.
